For more than 27 years, FOU provides scholarships and opportunities to underprivileged children in Vietnam. These students are either relatives of people with leprosy at different camps, orphans, or children in poor families. Although well behaved and studious, these students could drop out of their schools due to economic and/or social pressure. We also focus to help the minorities who are attending boarding schools. This way, their academic progress could be effectively monitored. |
This year FOU provides 355 scholarships to K-12 students, and 22 to college students at 8 different locations in Vietnam (Bu Dang, Cam Ranh, Di Linh, K’Ren, Kontum, Long Dien, Phan Rang, and Saigon). Our scholarship program provides the underprivileged children in Vietnam a chance to continue their schooling despite their family poverty and illnesses. Nearly 40% of scholarship recipients received honor certificates last year and three students completed their college degrees. Your generous sponsorship not only subsidizes a student to continue his/her schooling, but also motivates other children to work harder for potential scholarships.
