FOU volunteers work on projects at their own expenses so that 100% donations will completely and directly benefit the underprivileged.
There are several ways to support FOU projects:

Many organizations encourage their employees (even retired employees) to donate to a charity group of their choice, and provide matching fund.  Please contact your companies for details. FOU will be happy to provide necessary documentations for the process.

A word from our sponsor:

- Thaouyen Emily Pham, FOU Student Advocate at Cardinal Newman High School, California USA, shares her experiences after traveling to Vietnam for an FOU project in 2016:
Since I was in elementary school, I have been involved with Friends of the Underprivileged (FOU). Every year, I would send $50 from my piggy bank to subsidize education cost for a student in Vietnam. In the winter of 2015, I went on my own FOU service trip to teach dance and art classes to underprivileged students at special education schools in Di Linh and Da Lat. I will never forget the joy of those children when given the opportunity to paint and dance; I never knew I could bring so much joy just by sharing my talents. The defining memory of my trip to Vietnam was the kindness of the students and staff at the schools I visited. Although my purpose in Vietnam was to serve them, they gave me so much more through their graciousness and compassion. The children there are so intelligent and talented; they all deserve an education and a bright future. My trip to Vietnam deepened my understanding of my global community and made me realize that we each have so much to offer to improve the world in which we live.
